LOAN ASSISTANT - PROCESSOR

STATUS: Full-Time, Hourly. M-F, 7:30 am to 5 pm.
LOCATION: Barron
POSITION SUMMARY:
 This position is responsible for assisting with loan papers, processing and distribution, assisting loan officers and customers with a variety of loan related activities, such as reviewing documents, helping complete closing documents and uploading and scanning loan related document files.

Primary Duties-Loan Assistant:

  1. Assist as necessary prior to closing loan with loan papers and disbursements.
  2. Prior to uploading the loan, review documents for signatures, upload loan and complete necessary file maintenance, disburse loan, record documents, scan/file documents and complete all other closing tasks.
  3. Perform a variety of loan servicing tasks such as, filing, loan payments/payoffs, escrow payments, insurance, UCC continuations, satisfactions, maintain files, paid loans, and other tasks as directed.
  4. Assist customers with questions on their accounts.
  5. Assist loan officers as directed.
  6. Maintain customer confidentiality and protect the reputation of the Bank.
  7. Performs other tasks as directed as they relate to Bank functions.
  8. Maintain compliance with Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering Policy of Procedures, and regulations related to the implementation of such procedures.
  9. Maintain compliance with all internal policies, procedures and State/Federal regulations.

Additional Primary Duties-Loan Processor:

  1. Process loan applications as required/directed.
  2. Review checklist to meet documentation requirements and verify completeness for each loan.
  3. Prepare loan file and closing documents on loan document system.
  4. Verify mortgages, UCCs, and MVDs were accurately recorded.
  5. Monitor and resolve exceptions needed to complete loan files.
  6. Check loan file maintenance for accuracy and scan files in a timely manner.
  7. Perform other tasks as requested by supervisor/management as they relate to Bank functions.

EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS: Ability to multi-task and deal effectively with other employees and customers.  Accuracy and attention to detail are required to fulfill job requirements.  Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel along with satisfactory typing skills are necessary. High School Diploma or equivalent. Prior loan experience is preferred.

UNIVERSAL BANKER / TELLER / NEW ACCOUNTS

STATUS: Full-Time, Hourly
LOCATION: Chetek
POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for developing and maintaining customer relationships through accurately processing all customer transactions, gathering customer data to establish their banking relationship, referring other bank products and services as appropriate for the customer and managing customer accounts as necessary. Position will require excellent customer service skills and the ability to work effectively. Excellent listening, verbal communication and phone etiquette skills. Must be customer service driven with a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Open various types of new accounts; verify and process changes to existing accounts; process customer check orders and enter information into computer system.
  • Perform Teller duties as directed.
  • Answer customer inquiries (in-person and phone) regarding interest rates, service charges, and account histories while complying with disclosure requirements, regulations and consumer privacy policies.
  • Provide electronic banking support for Online Banking, Mobile Banking, Bill Pay, Remote Deposit, Cash Management, Positive Pay and telephone banking.
  • Maintain customer confidentiality and protect Bank's reputation.
  • Perform other tasks as requested by supervisor as they relate to the function of the Bank.
  • Maintain compliance with Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering Policy of
  • Procedures, and regulations related to the implementation of such procedures.
  • Maintain compliance with all internal policies, procedures and regulations issued by State or Federal regulators.

 

EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work effectively and non-defensively with customers and staff members in order to provide superior customer service.
  • Ability to prioritize and make on-the-spot decisions regarding customer transactions, weighing customer satisfaction issues with Bank exposure to loss or fraud.
  • Excellent listening, verbal communication and phone etiquette skills.
  • Must be customer service driven with a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
  • Knowledge of bank products and services.
  • Knowledge of various federal regulations including, but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, Right to Financial Privacy Act, GLBA-Privacy, Truth in Saving Act, Regulation CC, and Regulation E.
  • Possess the ability and strong desire to develop the "team" within the Bank.
  • Proficient computer skills including experience with Windows based applications (ability to navigate within multiple screens).
  • Ability to operate a variety of office equipment, including a multi-line phone system, PCs, printers and scanners.
