Sterling Bank Promotes Hibbs to President of its Luck Branch as Denny Retires
LUCK, Wis. – Sterling Bank is proud to announce the promotion of Kelly Hibbs to Branch President at its Luck location. Hibbs replaces Paul Denny, who retired September 30th, after serving the bank for 13 years. The promotion of Hibbs means Sterling Bank will continue to have an experienced banking professional, with strong ties to the community, leading its northwest Wisconsin operations.
Hibbs, who began her banking career in 1994, brings a wealth of experience to her new position. She has served as a teller, in customer service, loan support and personal banking capacities. She has also been a branch manager and a community banker. For the past 23 years she has focused on business banking. Hibbs joined the Sterling Bank team in 2014 and has served as Vice President of Business Banking at the bank’s Luck location.
“We are extremely fortunate to have someone with Kelly’s experience and expertise to be able to step into this position for us,” said Sterling Bank President Dave Lentz. “Her knowledge of the industry and the area, her professionalism and desire to work in a community banking atmosphere, all help ensure we will continue to provide great service to our customers.”
Hibbs has lived in Luck for nearly three decades. She and her husband own a farm and have two grown children (who both graduated from Luck High School). Hibbs is actively involved in the community, serving in organizations such as Polk County Economic Development Corporation, Siren/Webster Rotary Club, Zion Cemetery Association and Northwest Passage. She is excited about her new role and is committed to continuing the personal service Sterling Bank has always provided its customers.
“I really enjoy being a guide and a sounding board for customers,” Hibbs said. “We help them realize their potential and see the big picture. We provide honest assessment and then look for ways to help them grow and reach their goals. We really focus on doing what is best for our clients. We want them to thrive.”
Denny, who worked in the banking industry for 37 years, had been with Sterling Bank since 2010. He took over the role of Luck Branch President in April of 2014.
“Paul has been a real asset to our organization,” Lentz said. “His passion for helping customers always showed. We appreciate his dedicated service to the bank and wish him well in retirement.”
Sterling Bank is a locally owned community bank that has served Northwestern Wisconsin since 1885. It is among the longest tenured banks in western Wisconsin.
